MAN as Movers

The Men’s Anti-violence Network has established a group of business, civic and community leaders dedicated to stopping interpersonal violence by holding perpetrators accountable and working on prevention efforts. MAN as Movers will focus on changing public policy and increasing public awareness.

Domestic and sexual violence, bullying, and gang violence are all community issues.  The men of MAN as Movers are standing up to say that violence is unacceptable in this community. This influential group is partnering with other violence prevention organizations, business leaders, the Utah Governor’s office, the Utah Attorney General’s office, the Utah Board of Pardons, ReaL Salt Lake and law enforcement to develop effective and high-profile programs in the areas of perpetrator accountability and prevention. MAN as Movers will lobby at the state legislature, speak before community groups, and develop public awareness campaigns.  The men of MAN as Movers are:

The Honorable Jon M. Huntsman, Governor of Utah

Mark Shurtleff, Utah Attorney General

Ron B. Gordon, Executive Director, Commission on Criminal and Juvenile Justice

Robert S. Yeates, Board of Pardons

Jim Winder, Salt Lake County Sheriff
