FAQ
Q: Why was MAN created?
A: As our mission states, MAN was created to “end domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse and other forms of interpersonal violence in Utah by increasing public awareness of violence issues, actively engaging men in prevention efforts, advocating for more effective anti-violence policy, and ensuring that males of all ages understand appropriate male behaviors.”
Q: What does MAN do?
A: The Men’s Anti-violence Network of Utah (MAN) works to raise public awareness about interpersonal violence issues, and teaches men how to build healthy relationships and resolve conflicts peacefully. MAN also engages men in community efforts to help victims and hold perpetrators accountable.
Q: Who belongs to MAN?
A: Anyone can belong to MAN. They just need to sign the MAN pledge and commit themselves to preventing interpersonal violence. They are then usually approved for membership by the MAN founding committee.
